It is also the biggest of the four major opticians that control 70% of the British market for spectacles and contact lenses, with Specsavers having a 39% share of the market. The company has over 1,390 stores in the United Kingdom, Guernsey, Spain, Ireland, Norway, Sweden , Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand.

Barker Proudlove acquire stores on their behalf within the Midlands and North. Typically ranging from 1,200 to 3,000 sq ft sales the units are in good secondary/prime locations.

The iconic retailer, who was Voted Grocer of the Year 2010, is seeking to acquire 300 convenience stores in the next 10 years. Currently trading from locations such as Alderley Edge, Leeds, Newcastle, Nottingham and within London they are now looking for new properties to complement their existing network of stores.

Units will range from 3,000sqft to 7,000sqft of sales within busy affluent locations. Barker Proudlove are their retained agents in the North and Midlands.

We are retained to source prime, high street or shopping centre units in large towns and cities of 4,000 sq ft sales space, with minimum 1,500 sq ft ancillary.
